Author
Craig Clay-Smith enjoyed a career as a police detective before founding a top-20 advertising group in South Africa, which he ran for 30 years. As a writer and creative director he produced over 660 episodes of the world's first-ever virtual reality television game shows, 144 radio game shows, and hundreds of campaigns for major South African and international brands. In 2019 he commenced writing crime fiction and children's stories full-time — his first love and passion. Floppy and Duncan have lived in his heart as the bond between him and his daughters for over 25 years, and each story comes from the heart of his imagination and teaches a valuable life lesson.
Illustration & Design
Together with the author's vision of our two woodland heroes, Deanie's incredible talent brings Floppy and Duncan to life through her beautiful illustrations — helping children learn valuable life lessons through observation and engagement. A seasoned illustrator with a 40-year passion for character design, she spent two decades contributing to the online gaming industry and has long been fascinated by the psychology behind character creation.
